Photo Collage Screensaver is a collage screensaver. It doesn't really create a collage, per se. It uses your pictures to show a slideshow on the screen. However, the slideshow isn't the usual full-screen, picture-after-picture screensaver. The screensaver makes your pictures look like Polaroid prints. It just throws pictures on top of your desktop. Actually it takes a screenshot of what you were doing before the screensaver activates, and uses that as a background. Then pictures are piled on top of each other. It looks like if somebody were throwing the pictures onto a table. When a certain number of pictures have been shown, first pictures start to disappear, so that the screen is never too crowded.
Photo Collage Screensaver comes with a good selection of nature pictures that get displayed by default. You can delete those and add any of your pictures. It is very easy to add them. All you need to do is to point the application towards a folder on your computer with pictures in it. If you only have a few, the application will repeat pictures.
The application has a few options, which are accessed from the screensaver properties within Windows. You can set a delay between photos, a fade-in speed, you can change the order of pictures shown and add text to the screensaver. You can also configure the screensaver to exit only with mouse move that allows you to use the arrow keys to flip through your pictures and the space bar to pause the slideshow.
